How to tour the ‘One Tree Hill’ studio in Wilmington, NC

With the filming of One Tree Hill’s final season winding down (the last 13 episodes won’t air until mid-season, but they stated shooting back in July) we’ve had many readers asking how they can find locations, even ones that have been used in past seasons.

One Tree Hill locations are actually pretty easy to find because they have used several locations over and over again (like Karen’sCafe/Clothes Over Bros, the River Court, etc ) throughout the series. The show films in Wilmington, NC and the local paper, Star News, has kept a running list of the show’s frequent locations, and a map of each, on their website.

The show’s studio, Screen Gems Studios, located at 1223 23rd Street North in Wilmington, offers tours of the One Tree Hill sets every Saturday at noon and 2 pm (the show does not film on Saturdays). Though you won’t see any of the cast, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at the all of sets, including the interiors of Nathan and Haley’s house, Brooke’s house and other locations frequently seen on the show.

From May to September tours are offered on Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are not required. Tours are not offered on the weekends of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Memorial Day.

Adult admission is $12, students and military (with valid ID) $10, seniors (65+) $8, kids (5-12) $5, 4 and under are free.

For more information visit ScreenGemsStudios.com.

If you spot One Tree Hill filming or visit any of the Wilmington sets, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

UPDATE: Filming of One Tree Hill has ended, tours are no longer available as of Nov. 2011.
