Bradley Cooper headed to Philadelphia for “Silver Linings Playbook”, Extras Needed

Bradley Cooper, who is wrapping up The Place Beyond The Pines this week in Schenectady, NY, will begin filming The Silver Lining Playbook in Philadelphia next month.

The movie, which is based on the novel by Matthew Quick, stars Cooper as a former high school teacher who is committed to a mental institution for depression. When he is released, he tries to win back his ex-wife but ends up falling for his neighbor instead.

Jennifer Lawrence is attached to play the neighbor, while Robert De Niro will play his father. Chris Tucker is in talks to play Danny, a fellow patient at the hospital where Cooper’s character is sent.

This marks the second film that Cooper and De Niro have made together in Philadelphia in recent years. They also filmed Limitless in the city together in 2009.
