On Sunday, Showtime’s highly anticipated new series Homeland debuts but for the residents of Charlotte, NC the series is already old news.
Homeland has become a fixture in Charlotte as the cast and crew has been filming at various locations around the city including Freedom Park and Piedmont Community College.
According to the show’s casting coordinator, Tona Dalhquist, Homeland still has 3 or 4 more episodes to shoot for the first season and as far as background actors go, she just never knows what she will need from episode to episode, which means there may be more opportunities for locals interested in becoming extras.
Anyone interested in submitting to be an extra needs to send a current snapshot along with name, phone number, age, height, weight, clothing sizes, where you live, hobbies, your career background and what kind of car you drive. Right now, the biggest need is for professional business types, both men and woman of all ethnicities.
Email your information to homelandcasting@gmail.com. More information can also be found at the Homeland Casting Facebook Page.
