Don’t miss Hugh Jackman when he returns to Broadway this fall

For those of you living in the New York City area here is a great way to not only catch an amazing Broadway show but also see an amazing actor doing what he loves.

Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman will return to the New York stage next month in “Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway”. The show will be running from October 25 2011 to January 1 2012 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).

Hugh Jackman will be accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra when he performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on the stage and film star’s remarkable life and career, from “The Boy from Oz” to Hollywood. When asked about his return to the stage Jackman responded:

“I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway there is nothing like performing on the Great White Way and I’m so excited to be coming ‘home.'”

Hugh Jackman made his first major U.S. film appearance as Wolverine in the first installment of the “X-Men” franchise, a role he reprised in the enormously successful “X2” and 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand.” He also reprised his role in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” one of the most successful “prequels” of all time.
