Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Lily Cole have started working on National Trust land in Little Langdale, in the Lake District in Northern England.
The area, which was also prominently used in the 2006 movie Miss Potter, is a favorite spot for those looking getting away and is known for its extensive walking trails.
The movie is putting a twist on the Snow White we’re all familiar with, in this version she’ll be trained as a warrior by her mentor, the huntsman who was supposed to kill her.
Cathedral Quarry and Blea Tarn are among the landmarks where the movie has been filming.
National Trust lead ranger John Atkinson said, “The team here has been heavily involved in the planning for the filming. We’ve been putting the location crews in touch with local contractors who know the area well because access to the areas they want to use is very difficult. They’re using some very remote sites so transporting their generators, lighting, catering and so on is fairly challenging.”
The movie is expected to continue filming in the area into next week and will hit theaters next summer.
