9.29.08 Filming News Wrap-Up

Tim Burton started filming Alice in Wonderland in England last week. One of our readers, Dave, was kind enough to send us pictures from the print edition of a local paper and a link to the article!

Inglorious Bastards will begin filming this month in Berlin which means the Jolie-Pitts have arrived in Germany.

As we have reported, The Hamptons have been a hotbed of filming activity as Gossip Girl, Royal Pains, and Suburban Shootout have all been filmed in the region recently.

We’ve reported that Transformers 2 is filming in White Sands, NM (one of the coolest places on earth). Now we have found out that White Sands is filling in for Egypt in the movie.

Guthrie, OK was transformed back to the turn of the century for the movie, Pearl last week.

This is very cool! They turned a community pool in Hawaii into a dangerous stormy sea for a scene in Lost, there is a video too! And could this be the REAL Lost location?

Finally, on a personal note, Thrusday’s episode of The Office was the best ever, they mentioned the Counting Crows (my favorite, yes I’m a geek), Utica, NY (which is very close to our “OLV headquarters”) and JAM FINALLY GOT ENGAGED! So in honor of JAM- check out the cute video below!

Speaking of The Office, we were nominated for a Blogger’s Choice Award but realize there is no way we are beating the juggernaut that is officetally.com, also nominated in category, so congrats to them! They have been friends to us when we had news about The Office so we wish them all the best! (Oh, but if you still want to vote for us, feel free!)
