A new movie starring Andy Garcia, Eva Langoria and Forest Whitaker has started filming in Sudbury, ON.
“The Truth” follows a former CIA operative-turned-political talk show host, played by Garcia, who is hired by a corporate whistle-blower to expose her company’s cover up of a massacre in South American village.
The movie will shut down part of Elm St in Sudbury next week for three days. Here are the details for next week’s shoot (and where you’ll be able to find Andy, Eva and Forest!):
On Nov. 11 eastbound lanes on Elm between Durham and Lisgar will close from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will also be intermittent closures of Durham Street, between Cedar and Elm Streets, and southbound lanes on Lisgar Street near Elm.
On Nov. 12 eastbound lanes on Elm Street will close from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Durham and Lisgar.
On Nov. 13 eastbound lanes on Elm Street between Durham and Lisgar will close intermittently for approximately four hours in the morning.
The shoot will involve action sequences, including special effects and stunt crews simulating gunfire, shattered car windows and a “sniper” on the roof of a five-story building at the corner of Elm and Durham Streets.

Yoiks! Sudbury has some GORGEOUS spots, but they’re filming in a sad, dingy area. Hope they see good stuff, too.
With Kevin Durand!! And Forest Whitaker gracing the north. Wow. Wish I were working on this one!!
