Atlanta was once again one of the country’s hottest filming locations in 2011, with highly anticipated movies like Wanderlust and What To Expect When You’re Expecting filming in and around the city.
Recently, On We Go, Crew Nine, and Teen Wolf Season 2 joined several other big productions that have been filming around Atlanta this fall like Parental Guidance starring Bill Crystal, MTV’s My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 3, Neighborhood Watch starring Ben Stiller, Flight starring Denzel Washington, and The Vampire Diaries, which is entirely filmed in Georgia.
On We Go is a one of five half-hour comedy pilots USA Networks is shooting for next season. The show stars Nathan Lane as an unlucky actor whose career has been cursed by the fact that he looks like Nathan Lane. Last week the show spent several days filming in Dallas, GA, but is expected to be wrapping up soon.
Crew Nine is a a Hallmark Hall of Fame project starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as a counselor working with troubled kids. Be on the lookout for the C9 signs that have been popping up at the movie’s locations.
Teen Wolf is filming on Nelson St this week, but we suspect they will return to DeKalb School of the Arts, 2415 North Druid Hills Rd. Ne in Atlanta at some point, this is where they shot most of the school scenes in season one. Michael Hogan (Battlestar Gallactica) and Stephen Lunsford (Private Practice) will also be hanging out in Atlanta this winter since they recently joined the cast for season 2.
