While promoting The Hangover Part II on DVD on The Graham Norton Show this week, Bradley Cooper revealed some details about a the third movie that has the internet buzzing with anticipation.
Though most of what Cooper said seems to be pure speculation, he does confirm director Todd Phillips is working on a script for The Hangover Part 3 and confirms he is defintely on board for the threequel.
“I personally want to do it. I hope we’re going to start shooting in September,” Cooper said. “I know [director] Todd Phillips is working on the script.”
He also added that he thinks the movie will take place in L.A., which means it will also be shot in L.A., which is exciting news for fans on the west coast!
“We adhered to the formula in the second one, for those of you who’ve seen it, and the third one, which would close the whole sort of trilogy, which now it would be a trilogy — even though we thought we would never make a second one, let alone anybody see the first one — I think it will take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure. It might be different.”
Though there hasn’t been any official word on another sequel, Warner Bros. does seem to be going in that direction and has already made moves to bring the film’s creative team.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we’ll be tracking L.A. filming locations for The Hangover 3 next fall!
