TNT is finally giving Portland the credit it’s due.

The network’s hit series Leverage has been shot inĀ  Portland, OR, for 3 years but the show, about a group of con-artist turned do-gooders, has always been set in Boston, among other locations.

Now TNT has decided to set the upcoming fifth season in the city where it is filmed- Portland. The show will join Grimm and Portlandia, which are also filmed and set in Portland.

Leverage executive producer Dean Devlin announced the show’s new setting in a video that aired Monday night during the annual meeting of the Governor’s Office of Film and Television.

“It’ll be so great to show all the wonderful Portland locations without trying to hide or change them,” says Rachel Olschan, co-producer.

The Leverage crew is expected to begin filming season five in mid-February. Olschan says the final episode of season four, which airs Jan. 15, will set the stage for the show’s move to Portland. “Without giving too much away, in the finale, it’ll make sense for the crew to start up again in a new city,” she said.

Be sure to check out the video above to see some of the famous Portland locations that have already been used in the show too.

  1. Leverage is a great show, I can’t wait for the next season. I think it is one of the best tv shows on tv now. it is in scale of course no match for for instance ”-Game of thrones’ but it is funny, exiting and has awesome characters

  2. Just FYI as a resident of Oregon City, our city doesn’t require the word “the” in front of it like it appears in the title of this article.

  3. Leverage has taken over the small Oregon town of Estacada! It is quite a spectacle that many in our small community have not witnessed before, very exciting!
