‘Community’ fans go “caroling” outside Rockefeller Center

As we reported, Community fans had been rallying together all week on Facebook and Twitter to plan an Occupy NBC event at Rockefeller Center to protest the show’s absence from the network’s mid-season schedule.

But, despite the buzz the event received in the media and on Twitter, only about two dozen people attended the protest, which took place at 1 PM today.

One of our Twitter followers, @yaypineapples, sent us the following message and photo:

There are about 9 people at the #savecommunity #sixseasonsandamovie #occupynbc rally 🙁

In the video above, which shows fans singing an altered version of O Christmas Tree in evil beards, you can see a few more people (we count about 20) which, considering most people are busy with holiday events and planning this week, really isn’t a bad turn out.

We give those who showed up a lot of credit, not everyone will stand up for their favorite shows, and like another one of our Twitter followers, @fuzzytomato, suggested, it would have been cool if NBC had at least hooked them up with some Community swag for their efforts, they were right outside the NBC Experience Store after all.
