House used in ‘Mad Men’, ‘Dreamgirls’ up for sale

We usually don’t cover Real Estate news but this house has a pretty impressive Hollywood history.

According to the L.A. Times, a Chatsworth (Los Angeles, CA) estate frequently used as a filming location, is on the market at $12 million.

The buyer will definitely be getting some bang for their buck considering the mid-century home is set on 2 acres, features 16-foot ceilings, walls of glass opening to outdoor living spaces, three lower-level offices and a conference room, four bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 6,661 square feet. There is also a one-bedroom, 1 1/2 -bathroom guesthouse, a detached gym, a pool, a large motor court, and parking for 200 cars on the property.

Known as Farralone, the estate was designed by Pereira & Luckman, which was part of the team that worked on the futurist Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport.

The house has been featured in “Dreamgirls” (2006), “Bewitched” (2005), “Swordfish” (2001), “Ali” (2001), and even made a recent appearance in “Mad Men”.
