A few weeks ago Peter Jackson confirmed that the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will take place in Wellington, New Zealand.
“I think everybody involved was quite honestly keen to let New Zealand have the premiere based on that reception,” he said.
The Hobbit has been filming in New Zealand for months and is expected to spend at least another five months in the studio shooting.
The movie will hit theaters on December 14, 2012.
