According to NOLA.com, Ender’s Game producers have scheduled another casting call for kids and teens interested in being extras in the film.
They are looking for “bright and talented kids, teens and young adults ages 12-21 of varying ethnic background.”
The open casting call, which is the second in less than a week, is scheduled for Thursday (Jan. 19) from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Chalmette, LA at the Council Chambers at 8201 West Judge Perez Drive.
Interested actors should bring a recent snapshot of themselves.
Because filming will take place during school hours over an eight-week period, homeschooled students are especially encouraged.
Ender’s Game, based on the first book in the young-reader series by Orson Scott Card, stars Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, and Harrison Ford. The movie will begin filming in the New Orleans area in early February.
