Last weekend, KJ Apa surprised fans when he showed up to perform at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL.
Riverdale fans shouldn’t worry about KJ leaving his day job though. He was actually there to film a scene for his upcoming movie, I Still Believe. The film follows the true story of Christian recording artist Jeremy Camp. It will focus on the death of Camp’s first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, and the renewed faith he found after meeting his second wife, Adrienne Camp.
KJ’s co-star in the movie, Abigail Cowen, was also spotted at the festival. Gary Sinise, Shania Twain, and Brit Robertson are featured in the movie, too.
Alabama filmmakers Jon and Andrew Erwin chose to film the movie in the Mobile area. Filming will continue in Alabama through June.
Local extras and background actors are still needed for the movie. If you’re interested in appearing in I Still Believe, fill out the online form here.
