The Walking Dead is getting a second spin-off series, tentatively called Monument, and filming is currently underway in Virginia.
According to a recent production notice, the series will feature a major plane crash as the remains of a downed 737 will be prominently featured in an upcoming shoot.
ScreenRant reports Aliyah Royale, Annet Mahendru, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, and Hal Cumpston will star in the new show.
Casting Calls are being held by Kendall Cooper Casting who are looking for local extras for the series through November.
Right now, there are several street closures for filming of the series in Hopewell, VA. Filming will last in this area through Aug. 15. Here’s where you can find them:
Hopewell Street between East Poythress and East Cawson streets will be the location for a critical scene featuring a plane crash with a 737 fuselage.
Hopewell Street between East Poythress and East Cawson streets will be closed from Wednesday at 6 p.m. to Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. Filming will happen overnight Aug. 7, Aug. 8 and Aug. 13.
East Broadway Avenue between Route 10 and Kippax Street will be closed during filming on Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and on Aug. 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m.
