Claire Danes, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role on Showtime’s Homeland, has been named the Hasty Pudding 2012 Woman of the Year by Harvard students.
Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals will honor Danes with a parade and a roast in Cambridge, MA on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Below is the schedule of events:
Thursday, January 26, 2012 (All times approximate):
2:45 PM: Parade formation begins at junction of Massachusetts Ave. and Harvard St. (in front of The Inn at Harvard). The Woman of the Year will ride in an open-air car; press credentialed for the press truck will board it here and must remain on the truck for the duration of the parade.
3:15 PM: Parade begins, proceeding west on Massachusetts Ave. towards Harvard Square. As the parade approaches Harvard Square it will take a left onto Holyoke Street where the parade will conclude in front of Farkas Hall at 12 Holyoke Street. All press credentialed for the press truck must remain on the truck for the duration of the parade.
5:00 PM: Presentation of the Pudding Pot to Claire Danes; after receiving award, she will pose briefly with the Pudding Pot.
In addition, the group will honor Jason Segel as its Man of Year. The student group will host a parade and roast for Segel on Feb. 3.
