Matthew Modine is expected to attend a screening of his 1985 film Vision Quest at the Spokane Film Festival this weekend.
Vision Quest, which was based on Terry Davis’ coming-of-age novel of the same name, was shot in Spokane, Washington in 1984. Modine plays a Spokane high school wrestler in the movie who falls in love with an older woman, an aspiring artist from New Jersey on her way to San Francisco.
The screening will also act as a fundraiser to benefit Ferguson’s, a local restaurant hit by fire last year and one of the filming locations for the film.
The screening will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 7:00 PM at The Garland Theater. Tickets are $3.50 and will be available at the door.
