As the ten day shoot for Killing Season winds down in Rabun County, Georgia fans are still reporting plenty of John Travolta sightings!
The movie, starring Travolta and Robert De Niro, has been filming at the Tallulah Gorge State Park and Black Rock Mountain State Park since last week, and a few of our readers have been lucky enough to spot Travolta hanging out in Clayton, GA, where the cast and crew are currently staying.
One of our readers, Carolyn, took a spin class with John on Monday.
John Travolta walked into my spin class tonight at Genesis. Seemed like a really nice guy. I felt kind of bad for him since it’s hard to work out with people watching every move. I suppose it’s better than being ignored if you’re an actor.
There were also several Facebook postings about John’s spontaneous workout session and it seems everyone who has encountered the actor says how nice and down-to-earth he is with fans.
Another one of our readers, Reeves, also spotted Travolta having dinner earlier this week.
I saw and spoke to John Travolta last night at the Las Cabanas in Clayton. We pulled in around 7:30 pm and he was finishing up supper, taking some pictures and shaking hands.
In addition to shooting his new movie in Georgia, it was also announced this week that John plans to donate his Gulfstream II executive jet to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame, located at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA.
The Travolta plane is currently being prepped as a static display for the air show scheduled for April 28-29 before being moved to the museum. Travolta is reportedly donating the plane in honor of his son, Jett, who died in 2009.
Though the shoot in Rabun County is wrapping up, the movie will continue filming in Georgia through the end of the month. If you spot the cast of Killing Season in Georgia, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
