‘The Fast And The Furious 6’ will be filmed in Essex, U.K. this summer

After the success of Fast Five, its no surprise that Fast and the Furious 6 and Fast and the Furious 7 are already in the works (though they won’t be filmed back to back).

According to The Sun, Fast and the Furious 6 will spend some time filming in London this summer, but will then move to the Southend seafront in Essex for the rest of the shoot.

Because the Olympics will be taking place in London this summer, some scenes for the movie have to be shot outside the city and producers decided the coastal town of Southend-on-Sea was the best choice.

According to a source close tot he film, “Southend will be perfect for The Fast And The Furious 6. The long stretches along the seafront means cars can travel at a fair pace and it will be easier to film.”

In a recent interview Dwayne Johnson told reporters the movie would begin filming in May. Fast 6 may also shoot in other European countries including Germany.
