According to Variety, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will star in the Brett-Ratner-directed movie based on the comic book Hercules: The Thracian War.
Filming is set to begin in October in New Zealand, the report says.
And, according the New Zealand Herald, Johnson is no stranger to New Zealand as he attended primary school in South Auckland when he was a kid.
With the addition of Hercules, Dwayne is going to have a very busy year. He is also attached to star in five other films shooting this year: Empire State (filming in New Orleans in April), Pain and Gain with co-star Mark Wahlberg (which will film in Miami), The Fast and the Furious 6 (which will be shot in Europe this summer), Arabian Nights, and Ciudad.
