On Saturday, the cast of The Vampire Diaries hit the stage at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills for a special PaleyFest panel.

Julie Plec (Executive Producer), Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola, and Matthew Davis, joined moderator Debra Birnbaum to discuss vampires, brotherly bonds, and the ultimate love triangle. Along with the panel, fans were also treated to a sneak peek at the this week’s new episode, 1912.

Here are some of the highlights from Saturday’s panel:

They recently shot scenes at Evander Holyfield’s house, which has a bowling alley and a ballroom.

When asked is we’ve seen the last of The Originals, Julie said, “No. No.”

Matt Davis has tried to start an Alaric-Elena campaign on Twitter.

Of the Salvatore brothers, Julie explained, “Damon is no more good than Stefan is evil and vice versa. There’s conflict in each of them.”

“The love triangle is going to come to a head this season. Maybe not to THE head,” Julie said.

“She needs to go abroad, meet some new boys,” Nina suggested for Elena. “I’m sure Italy has a lot more Salvatores.”

“We’ll see…,” Plec when asked if Elena would turn into a vampire (which she does in the books). “There’s a wealth of stories that have been given to us from these books. There’s things we’ve decided to do and things we’ve said maybe not for us. So I would say I don’t know.”

“There is no love story that is more important than Katherine and her own self-interest and freedom,” Julie said when asked inf Katherine would return anytime soon.
