Casting call confirms Seth Rogen’s “The Apocalypse” will start shooting in the New Orleans in April

A new casting call issued by the Louisiana-based casting company RPM confirms Seth Rogen’s directorial debut, The Apocalypse, will begin shooting in the New Orleans area next month.

The casting call is looking for “young and hip” types to work a party scene on April 26-27, May 31, June 1, and June 4. It also promises the scene will feature “a star-studded cast, including director Seth Rogen.”

Though the film has not yet been listed on Louisiana Entertainment’s Production List, the casting call does name New Orleans as the filming location.

According to Collider, “The Apocalypse is an end of days comedy marking the directorial debut of Seth Rogen. Written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg from a story by Jason Stone, the pic was inspired by a short film called Jay and Seth vs The Apocalypse. In it, Rogen and Jay Baruchel play their real life selves while they ride out the end of the world in their apartment. Since two movie stars cooped up during Armageddon clearly isn’t enough, the project has expanded to include James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson now residing in Franco’s (presumably larger?) Los Angeles apartment.”

Based on the film’s description, it sounds like the party scene RPM is casting will take place at Franco’s character’s house.
