Yet another casting call has been announced for 42, this one will be in Birmingham on Monday

As we’ve reported, the movie 42, starring Chadwick Boseman as baseball legend Jackie Robinson and Harrison Ford as the baseball executive who signed Robinson, is gearing up to begin filming in Chattanooga, TN, Birmingham, AL, Macon, GA, and Atlanta, and they have just announced another open casting call for extras.

The latest casting call will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, AL on Monday, April 9.

Casting directors are looking for men and women 18 and older to play baseball fans, umpires and coaches. Prospective extras are encouraged to bring a headshot and to wear 1940s attire. Men should wear dress pants, short-sleeve button shirts, suspenders, sportcoats, dress shoes and fedoras. Women are asked to wear dresses, Oxford shoes or high heels, and small hats. Everyone is discouraged from wearing brown.

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to audition in Chattanooga on April 10. I am excited and hopeful to participate as an extra. Do you have any idea when notification will be sent to those who are selected?
