Fan photos of Jimmy Fallon, Jake Gyllenhaal, and others arriving at Lincoln Center for “A Celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream”

On April 2, one of our readers, RL, caught Josh Grobin, Joanne Woodward, Jimmy Fallon, and Jake Gyllenhaal arriving for “A Celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream” at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, NYC.

The event was a benefit for the Paul Newman Association’s Hole in the Wall Camps for children with serious illnesses and their families.

Josh Groban, along with Paul Simon and Trisha Yearwood, performed at the fundraiser.

Around the corner, at Tully Hall, Catherine Deneuve was honored the same night with the 39th annual Chaplin Award by the Film Society of Lincoln Center. “Catherine Deneuve seems to have been made for cinema, and cinema for her,” said director Martin Scorsese who was in attendance. “She IS French cinema. She seems to be getting more adventurous every year.”

RL also spotted Catherine, her daughter Chiara Mastroianni, and Susan Sarandon arrive for the ceremony, you can check out all of the photos below.

RL was also kind enough to share some advice about seeing celebs arriving for events at Lincoln Center:

For the Paul Newman event I was standing at the stage entrance across from Tully Hall. There were no barriers there and only about 20 people were waiting around. Josh Grobin was very friendly and signed for people and talked to them. Of course all this is done in a matter of couple of minutes! Jake Gyllenhaal did not smile or acknowledge anyone as he went in. Ms. Woodward arrived in a regular car from Connecticut with a small group of friends. She looked very nice and said hello to people. There are always “leeches” around trying to get things signed so they can sell them but she graciously declined. She really looked like the legend she is.

Then I crossed over to the Alice Tully Hall side door and they had a couple of barriers up but just a few people were there as well, maybe 20 or less. Susan Sarandon arrived and was friendly, she signed for people and looked at me LOL. Then Catherine arrived right after Susan, before 7 p.m. and she signed as well for a few people and spoke…I never know which side to stand on! Anyway, she looked lovely as well and I think her daughter looks like her. I waited around a bit after she went in to see if Martin Scorsese would appear but he may have already been inside. Then Catherine and group appeared on the balcony, like Marie Antoinette ha ha, and were having a smoke. she and her daughter both waved at people down below.
