‘Dust to Dust’, starring Christian Bale, filming in Wheeling, West Virginia this week

Dust To Dust, formerly known as Out of the Furnace, begins filming today, Thursday, April 12, in West Virginia.

According to a recently posted casting call the movie is filming near Wheeling, WV all day Thursday and Friday. Though the exact location of the shoot is unknown, we’ve heard they might be filming prison scenes.

One potential location is the now closed West Virginia State Penitentiary, which is located about 12 miles outside of Wheeling.

The movie, which will primarily be filmed in Braddock, PA, stars Christian Bale (who has already been researching his role) as a man who, upon his release from prison, plans to marry his girlfriend but that path is altered when he finds out his brother has been murdered. Casey Affleck will play Bale’s brother while Woody Harrelson will play the man Bale’s character goes after while seeking vengeance for his brother’s death.
