As we reported, The Walking Dead will begin filming in Senoia, GA next month and a few more details about the shoot in surrounding areas were revealed last week.
During a recent meeting of the Coweta County, GA commissioners, location manager Mike Riley gave a preview of locations around the county where filming will take place.
Portions of the series will be filmed on “Turkey Creek Road near the fire department, at Sportsman’s Deer Cooler in Haralson and at a house in Turin where the production is requesting to close Reese Road between McIntosh Trail and Odom Road.”
Each episode will take nine days of filming and shooting will occur Mondays through Fridays through November.
“The storyline runs from a rural area to an urban area and back to a rural area,” Riley said, adding the benefit of having Raleigh Studios in Senoia. “We were here last year and much of the show was shot in this area.”
More details about when they are filming at each locations are expected to be revealed at the next council meeting on May 3.
