Steve Carell is prepping to begin filming “The Way, Way Back” in Massachusetts this summer and there is a rumor he might not have much of a commute.
According to local reports, part of the movie may be shot in Marshfield, where Carell has a home and spends most of his summers.
The film reunites Carell with his “Little Miss Sunshine” co-star Toni Collette. It will focus on a teenage boy who struggles to have a his relationship with his parents while on summer vacation. Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney and Annasophia Robb will also star.
In addition to having a home in Marshfield, Carell owns the Marshfield Hills General Store, which he bought a few years ago because he felt it was a landmark worth saving.
