The new Jackie Robinson biopic, 42, which is currently filming in Chattanooga, TN, will soon move on to Macon, GA and they will need 100s of extras for the shoot.
Filming begins in Macon on June 7th when they shoot a scene including experienced male baseball players ages 23 to 48. On June 11-13 they will shoot scenes (most likely at the local baseball field) in which men and women of all ages will be needed.
The casting company is encouraging those who want a new perspective on movie making to apply.
“You get to see all the pieces of the puzzle that have come together to make the movie,” says Rose Locke, owner of Catrett Locke Casting. “You know, most people just go to the movie theater, and watch it and there’s so much more to it, and it’s exciting. It’s exciting to be a part of it…exciting in itself that you’re going to see yourself on camera–and both the movie and the story are an amazing thing to be a part of, of course.”

I’ve been out of the state and just found out about ’42. I believe filming is only a few more days. However, if you need someone, I am definitely interested in extra work for this movie and any movie in the future to audition for or to be an extra. I’m originally from GA. I have moved around for 10 years and I will be relocating to LA in July to pursue acting and go to film school.
