As we reported last month, Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy will spend most of the summer filming a still untitled “Buddy Cop Comedy” in Boston.
The movie, tentatively called “The Heat”, is being directed by Paul Feig and focuses on the “strained relationship between a high-strung FBI agent an unconventional Boston cop.”
Thanks to one of our tipsters, Bill, we’ve learned the movie began filming yesterday at the former Boston Police Area B-2 District Station at 135 Dudley St, Roxbury, MA. Base Camp for the shoot is located at 2550 Washington St and signs posted around the set say “H.E.A.T.” (so be on the look out for those around town).

Really come On
I drive by there on the MBTA on the way to and from work!!!! Great things are happening in Roxbury!!!
Sounds like a fun project, they would be great together.
I drive thru the set daily because I live over that way, sad that a stabbing took place there last night hopefully it doesnt deter them from the continuous filming.
The Heat is getting ready to film in Savin Hill. So far just security on scene, no production vehicles but parking restrictions in place.
thanks! do happen to know what dates the parking restrictions are for or what streets they are filming on? thanks!
I was driving and tried to see the dates but couldn’t make them out as they were smeared from the rain. It looked like multiple dates were listed. I’ll check it out tomorrow and advise. Taft Street
thank you so much!
