‘Affluenza’ to film in NYC this summer

This month the film Affluenza is expected to begin filming in New York City.

The movie, starring Ben Rosenfeld, Danny Burstein, Grant Gustin, Steve Guttenberg, Adriane Lenox, Samantha Mathis, and John Rothenberg, is a modern-day version of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby which follows a young man of means living in the Long Island suburb of Great Neck during the financial crisis of 2008.

Though many of the movie’s stars have been tweeting from NYC and the movie was tentatively scheduled to begin on July 16th, we haven’t heard of any exact filming locations for the movie yet.

We did find several casting calls for a college party scene and a funeral scene which will be shooting on August 16 & 17.
