‘The Makeover’, starring Julia Stiles, begins filming in Massachusetts

This week a Hallmark movie starring Julia Stiles (who will always be Lumen to me) began filming in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

The movie, called The Makeover, filmed on Main St today and will return later this month to continue shooting. They are expected to film scenes at 12 Belmont Street on Sept. 24 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sept. 25 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.. On Sept. 26, they will film at the same location again from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., and at 56 Union Street, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Makeover is based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion. Stiles plays a Harvard-educated professor who recruits a Southie guy (played by David Walton) to run for Congress. Camryn Manheim also stars as Stiles’ business partner.

The made-for-TV movie will film at various locations throughout the Boston area through early October. If you spot them filming, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
