‘Saving Mr. Banks’, starring Tom Hanks, begins filming in Los Angeles

According to a recent Disney Press Release, filming is officially underway in Los Angeles for Saving Mr. Banks, starring Tom Hanks.

The movie follows the “testy” relationship between Walt Disney and Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers as Disney attempted to obtain the rights to make the movie.

Emma Thompson has signed on to play P.L. Travers while Hanks will play Disney.

Much of the movie will be filmed at Disneyland and Disney Studios. Saving Mr. Banks is also scheduled to shoot scenes at 1401 S. Oak Knoll Ave in Pasadena on October 16.
