A couple of weeks ago we confirmed Iron Man 3 will be moving their production from North Carolina to Florida on October 1.
Most of the Florida shoot is expected to take place in Fort Lauderdale, Dania Beach, and Miami.
According to a permit issued this week by Miami-Dade County, Iron Works Productions (a.k.a Iron Man 3) will be filming on Pine Tree Drive between Dade Boulevard and 63rd Street in Miami Beach sometime in the next week or so (unfortunately the permit does not include an exact date.)
This stretch of Pine Tree Drive is pretty long, more than 3 miles, so we’re guessing they won’t be filming along the entire route unless they are filming a driving scene or doing some second unit stuff.
As for extras casting for the Florida shoot goes, Tona B. Dahlquist Casting has a casting call posted on Facebook for October (after the Florida move) indicating they will continue casting though, we’ve also heard Miami-based CrowdShotCasting.com might be working on the movie too.
