Director Rob Reiner and screenwriter William Goldman will join cast members Billy Crystal, Cary Elwes, Carol Kane, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Wallace Shawn and Robin Wright for a special 25th anniversary screening of The Princess Bride in NYC tonight.
The event, which is being hosted by the New York Film Festival, coincides with the movie’s special 25th anniversary release on Blu-ray today.
The 1980s classic tells the tale of a beautiful maiden, a lovestruck farmboy, a vain Prince, a giant from Greenland, a Spanish fencing master, a six-fingered Count and a miracle worker.
If you missed out on tickets for tonight’s event, a standby line will form at the Alice Tully Hall box office one hour prior to the screening which begins at 9:00 p.m. Tickets may become available to the standby line on a first-come, first-serve basis.
