The restaurant scene in Louisiana just got a little bit hotter.
On October 8, Channing Tatum opened his new bar, Saints & Sinners, in New Orleans.
Channing recently said there was nowhere else he would have wanted open a bar/restaurant. “I don’t think I’d ever open a bar anywhere else really, because I don’t want to try to get people there,” he said. “But people come to New Orleans with a little bit of money in their pocket and they have one thing they want to do with it — and that’s spend it and party with it and go crazy. And I want to help facilitate that.”
The restaurant serves local favorites including ratatouille, crawfish, shrimp and jambalaya.
If Channing does decide to branch out, he might consider opening a branch in Wilmington, N.C., where he was spotted taking his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, out (to Olive Garden!?) on Saturday night! Jenna is in town shooting the pilot, Witches of East End.
But, Channing isn’t the only new Louisiana Hollywood restauranteur. The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder recently announced his family opened a restaurant in his hometown of Mandeville.
The actor tweeted, “Our family’s Pizzeria, McClains, in my home town of Mandeville LA is OPEN finally! Lots of work-unreal food-go check it out & say hi to my fam.” Adding, “…I’ll be in a bunch, making pizza & having a glass of wine on terrace- see you there! 115 Girod St. :)”
