The town of Covington, Georgia has recently decided to form a committee that would discuss the impact caused by the filming of The Vampire Diaries.
Covington, which is dubbed “The Hollywood of the South,” has been home to the CW hit for 4 seasons. While the town acknowledges the increase in revenue the production brings, residents are still unhappy with the amount of disruption filming can cause.
Fans flock to the Georgia town to get a peek at Mystic Falls and the actors that can be found there. The local Vampire Diaries tour group, Mystic Falls Tours, boasts numerous photos of landmarks, filming, and stars Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, and Nina Dobrev (to name a few).
Viewers shouldn’t be too concerned though. While it’s obvious there are concerns that need to be addressed, filming isn’t likely to come to a halt any time soon.
these are the same crybabies that want to secede. smh
They can so come film in south carolina. I would love to see our community bring in more tourists. I’m sure we’d all love to have them. Tourists bring in more money because TVD is filming in Ga. We’d be glad to take your money. Bring on the Tourists!!!!
