‘Blue Bloods’ star Abigail Hawk begins filming ‘Bubble Girl’ in Buffalo

A new movie, entitled Bubble Girl, began filming in Buffalo, NY last week.

The film centers on a young girl who overcomes a childhood illness, and Buffalo’s Roswell Park Cancer Institute will be featured throughout the movie.

“This is really a story about inspiration and hope; it’s a story about community, the healing power of the imagination. It pays respect to the kids of Roswell and the caregivers of Roswell. I try to do that. Honor parts of the society and part of the community,” director Peter McGennis said.

The movie stars Abigail Hawk, who is well known for her role on Blue Bloods. Hawk told the local news she has been sampling some of Buffalo’s local specialties since she arrived in town.

“The food has been remarkable. I have had sushi at Sea Bar. The beef on Weck was probably one of the greatest things I have ever had. And I come from New York, where sushi is really good, but this was my favorite sushi ever. Went to the Spot and had a cup of coffee and I tried the Chocolate Bar today. I’ve been enjoying the food; it’s delicious,” Hawk said.
