A new movie set in Alaska is set to begin filming in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Race to Save Nome, starring Kurt Russell, Hilary Swank, and Brian Presley, is based on the true story of those who brought vaccines to a remote Alaskan town when it fell victim to a diphtheria outbreak in 1925.
Producers are holding an open casting call for extras on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Marlborough Mall in Calgary for the film, which begins filming on January 14, 2013.
Producers are looking for hundreds of men, women, and children between the ages of eight and 70 for Race, families are welcome as well.
