An open casting call for extras for Prisoners, starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, ha been announced for Sunday, Dec. 9, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Rockdale Career Academy in Conyers, GA.
The movie will mostly be filmed in the Conyers area beginning January 16 through March 26, 2013.
According to Tammy Smith Casting, men and women, age 18 and older, of all ethnicities are needed to appear as background actors in the film. Extras are needed to “portray middle class men and women with suburban and rural community looks; police precinct men and women, such as detectives police officers and precinct staff; and hospital and emergency room staff types, such as nurses, doctors, orderlies, etc”.
If you plan to attend the casting call you are encouraged to come dressed as the type of character you want to portray and bring photos, a photo ID , and be able to act legally in the U.S. Those with acting resumes should bring them as several featured extras are expected to be used in the film.

My name is Mark D. Willis an it has always been my dream an passion of becoming an actor since my early teen years. I have always put on short role play shows for my family an friends. I enjoy being able to provide them with laughter. I was at work one day acting out scenes from the movies ” Avengers ” & ” 21 Jump Street ” in front of customers an co-workers. They loved my short scenes an stated that I should go after my dream. They loved the fact that I could cry on impulse. i feel i could bring a character to life. I am looking to build my resume for future roles. I am willing to work hard without pay to pursue my dream. Im a 12 year old male . Im 4 foot 11 inches . im caucasian andd live right behind the gas station on highway 78 where you guys are shooting a scene of the movie . Ive had an acting dream since i was 4 but that never really happened because my parents never really supported me and i want to prove to them that I can do this . Even being an extra would make me happy . Hugh Jackman when he was in reel steel made me want to act even more . I loved his acting also in les miserables and in the wolverine . He has lately become my idol of acting .
It appears they are now setting up shop in Tucker, GA. In my business park there are orange cones with yellow signs saying “CAPTIVE” To Set, Extras Holding, Caterer, etc. They have changed the lobby of a vacant office building to say “City of Conyers (I believe) Police Department”. Definitely something going on.
