Grudge Match, Treme, & True Detective among current projects filming in New Orleans

As Mardi Gras kicks off this week the spotlight is back on New Orleans, making it a perfect time to take a look at what is currently filming in and around NOLA, and what productions are headed to the city this spring.

Filming Now:

Grudge Match

Warner Bros. feature film Grudge Match, starring Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, and Kevin Hart, is in the middle of a 45 day shoot in New Orleans.

House of Horror

Feature film House of Horror is shooting February 2013 in Baton Rouge.

Treme

HBO’s television series Treme season 4, starring Melissa Leo, Wendell Pierce, Steve Zahn and many more, is shooting through February in New Orleans.

True Detective (aka Untitled Detective Project aka Allegra)

HBO’s television series Untitled Detective Project starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is shooting January 22, 2013 until June in New Orleans.

Upcoming Productions:

Airspace

Scooty Woop Entertainment’s feature film Airspace is slated to shoot in Shreveport soon. John Cusack stars.

Bonnie & Clyde

Sony Pictures television mini eries Bonnie & Clyde will start shooting March 7 in Baton Rouge. Holly Hunter and William Hurt are among the cast.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Fox feature film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will begin filming in March 2013 in New Orleans.

Heat

The feature film Heat, starring Jason Statham, will begin an 8 week shoot on April 1 in New Orleans.

The Kennedy Detail

AEI’s feature film The Kennedy Detail, directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, will shoot March 11 for 6 weeks in New Orleans.

Pitbulls & Parolees

Pitbulls & Parolees season 5 begin filming on February 17 in New Orleans.
