‘Jane Got A Gun’ & ‘Force of Execution’ among projects gearing up to film in New Mexico

Along with the AMC series Breaking Bad, which is wrapping up its final season now, and the upcoming movie Frank, which begins filming in Albuquerque on Monday, four more projects are gearing up to begin filming in New Mexico.

According to a recent casting call, the Steven Seagal movie, Force of Execution, will be starting production in New Mexico early this year. Danny Trejo and Ving Rhames also star.

Jane Got A Gun, starring Natalie Portman, will begin filming at various locations around New Mexico in “late January”. The movie follows a woman who reluctantly reaches out to an ex-lover for help after her outlaw husband returns home badly injured.

Longmire is also expected to begin filming its second season in New Mexico this month. The series, starring Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff, will return to A&E this summer.

Finally, it’s also been reported that location scouts visited Chama last month looking for potential locations for Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming film, A Million Ways to Die in the West. According to the Hollywood Reporter Seth is planning to star in and direct the movie this summer.

Robert Baxter Casting is handling extras casting for Frank, Longmire, and Jane.
