The Griswold’s are about to embark on another Vacation.
Writer-directors Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have confirmed their plans to shoot a sequel to National Lampoon’s Vacation in Atlanta and New Mexico this summer.
In the new film, Ed Helms will play the lead role of Rusty Griswold.
“We’re shooting in June in Atlanta and in New Mexico,” Daley said. “Rusty Griswold is grown up, and that’s Ed Helms. We’re casting the other parts now and it’s pretty exciting,” Goldstein added.
And, they do plan to bring back some familiar face from the first film. “We do [have plans to bring people back],” Daley said. “We’re in the process of having those conversations.”
Vacation reportedly sees Rusty following in his father’s footsteps and taking his own family on the road for a vacation.
