Rob Thomas plans to bring ‘Veronica Mars’ Movie footage to Comic-Con

We called it!

With The Veronica Mars Movie filming (presumably) in San Diego this summer, an appearance by the cast at Comic-Con would be a no-brainer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will shoot between mid-June and mid-July and creator Rob Thomas is already planning on bringing some footage to SDCC!

“We’re hoping to go to Comic-Con, maybe have some footage to show at Comic-Con,” he said. “We have a documentary following the making of the movie.”

He also confirmed he does want to be able to shoot in Southern California, where the series was originally set.

In anticipation of the movie’s shoot, here are five of the most frequented Veronica Mars Filming Locations in San Diego that we’re hoping they return to this summer!

Stu Segall Productions – The Facility they used as their studio throughout the series.

Studio Diner – The diner right next door to Stu’s that was used in several episodes (and also became a hangout for the cast and crew).

The Inn at Sunset Cliffs
– This motel served as the exterior of Keith and Veronica’s apartment and was one of the highlights of our trip to San Diego last year.

Ocean Beach – The northern end of this beach was used as the Dog Beach where Veronica would often take Backup.

The Cabrillo Academy of The Sword – The exterior of this building on Adams Avenue was used as Mars Investigations.

Finally, here’s a taste of what Veronica has been up to since we last saw.
