Ryan Gosling spotted prepping for ‘How To Catch A Monster’ in Michigan this week

As we’ve reported, Ryan Gosling will begin work on his directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster, on May 6 in Detroit, MI and we’re hearing he’s already in town for pre-production work on the film.

According to one of our tipsters, Lauren, Gosling has been spotted at Vinsetta Garage  and the Starbucks in Royal Oak, MI this week.

And, according to Ryan Hill Casting, Gosling’s prep work includes filling one of the movie’s principal roles. Check out the casting call below:

FRANKIE: (male 2-3 year old identical twins or triples), Caucasian, Bi-racial, Hispanic. Quiet and withdrawn but with an expressive face and deeply active internal life. Almost reminiscent of a silent film character. Because of the lack of lines for this character there should be an imaginative quality as if he lives in a make believe world he created. DISCLAIMER: Please be aware some of the scenes with Frankie may include a simulated house burning down, child running into simulated controlled traffic, and a dressing room scene which may have partial nudity by other actors. Please e-mail pics and contact info to: mooneycasting@gmail.com.

Ryan Hill is also casting 300 extras for the movie, once casting begins, the email address to apply will be HTCAMExtras@gmail.com. Stay tuned to Ryan Hill’s Facebook Page for updates.

Written by Gosling, How to Catch a Monster will star Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes, Saoirse Ronan, Matt Smith and Ben Mendelsohn.

Somebody I know, turned down an audition for her son because of those disclaimer elements. Good luck finding a 2-3 y.o.!
