Open Casting Call for ‘The Judge’, starring Robert Downey Jr., taking place in Shelburne Falls, MA this weekend

Boston Casting plans to hold an open casting call for the upcoming movie The Judge, starring Robert Downey Jr., in Shelburne Falls, MA on Saturday, May 18.

The casting call will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Buckland Town Hall, at 17 State St, Shelburne Falls.

The audition is open to locals 18 years old and over, all types are needed. They are also looking for cars and pickup trucks from the 1980s through 2000. Everyone attending must bring a recent photo of themselves and/or their car.

Boston Casting is also holding an open casting call in their Boston office on May 18 for extras in that area. If you can not attend these casting calls or need more information, you can register with Boston Casting at https://www.bostoncasting.com/.

Production on the movie, which will also star Leighton Meester, Vera Farmiga, Robert Duvall, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Billy Bob Thornton, is expected to begin on June 3, 2013. The Judge will film on a Monday through Friday schedule for 12 to 14 days in Shelburne Falls, before moving to the Boston area.

The drama follows Hank Palmer (RDJ), a successful attorney who returns to his hometown for his mother’s funeral and discovers his Alzheimer’s-stricken father is suspected of murder and that he must represent him in court.
