Principal photography on William H. Macy’s directorial debut, Rudderless, continues in Oklahoma City, OK this week, despite Monday’s deadly tornado that ripped through nearby Moore.
According to a tweet from @SnellFTW, Rudderless is filming on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma today.
Rudderless, a musical that stars Macy, Felicity Huffman, Selena Gomez, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup and Anton Yelchin, began principal photography in Oklahoma, where it is also set, on April 14.
In the movie, Macy stars as a grieving father who stumbles across a box of his deceased son’s original music and forms a band, hoping to find peace in the wake of his tragic loss.
The movie’s official Twitter account asked followers to help Oklahomans in the wake of the tornadoes by donating to storm relief.
Rudderless is expected to wrap up production by the end of the month.
