‘Captain America 2’ Updates: Set Photos, Explosive Video, New Filming Locations in Cleveland, & more!

Today marks the third day of filming in downtown Cleveland, OH for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So far, the Cleveland shoot has consisted of car crashes, shoot outs, and a large explosion. And, it looks like Cleveland is filling in for Washington D.C., where they spent three days filming on location last week, in the movie.

Below is a video of that explosion and a few photos of today’s downtown set, along with a photo of star Samuel L. Jackson with the city’s mayor Frank Jackson.

The downtown street closures and filming schedule have been detailed by the city at clevelandmovietraffic.com. The site provides a chart of filming dates and locations as well as maps like the one below.

Two locations that aren’t noted on the Cleveland website are two homes at W 7th St and and a church on W 14th St which will be used in a shoot taking place on two executive days between May 28 and June 18. You can find all of the details for that shoot in the notice below.

And, finally, we have a few new photos of Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

You can see more photos and learn more about the D.C. shoot at glynlowephotoworks.com and ballsandbytes.wordpress.com.
