Open Casting Call for ‘Transformers 4’ taking place in Michigan this weekend

Just last week we posted a new casting call for Transformers 4 in Austin, TX, and now we have one for Detroit, MI, too.

Filming began this week in Monument Valley in the Navajo Nation near the border of Arizona and Utah. Transformers 4 is expected to move on to Detroit, Austin, Chicago, and Hong Kong for additional filming taking place between June and October.

Though filming isn’t scheduled to begin in Michigan until next month, sets are already being built at Michigan Motion Pictures Studios and rumor has it the set being built in the photo above, taken at Grand Circus Park in Detroit, is for Transformers 4.

Those interested in being extras in the movie while they film in Detroit can attend an open casting call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at the Somerset Inn in Troy, MI. Here are the details:

The part requires actors to be available for filming from June through August.

Directors will be looking for males and females at least 18-year-old who can play the part of a clean-cut business person, military or FBI agent. They’ll also be casting Asian families of all ages.
