Director Sam Mendes has decided to return for the next James Bond film for Sony, MGM and EON Productions, and some reports have production starting as early as this year.
In an official statement, Mendes says: “I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honor all my theater commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time”.
Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli added: “Following the extraordinary success of Skyfall, we’re really excited to be working once again with Daniel Craig, Sam Mendes and John Logan.”
Bond 24 is set for a UK release on October 23, 2015 and a US release on November 6th, 2015.
No filming locations have been announced for Bond 24 but, based on the locations used in Skyfall, – London, England, Shanghai, China, Fethiye, Turkey, and Hashima Island, Japan – we’re sure they’ll will be exotic.
We know producers are planning to use Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, U.K. as a home base, so we can expect to see some on location filming in nearby London but as for other locations, for now we can only speculate.
Where else do you think Bond 24 will be filmed?
